There should be evidence of analysis (not simply reporting the facts about the contract) by means of comparing some items (i.e. salary) to national or regional norms.

Death of a Salesman: Genograms
Read the book Death of a Salesman:
Death of a Salesman – Arthur Miller – play tells the story of a white lower middle-class family
with two sons. The story is about a broken-hearted salesman, Willy Loman. He is a man no
longer living in the real world but is mostly trapped in his own delusional world. He can’t let go of
the past no matter how hard he tries, and it’s eating him up inside. He wants to believe that his
family is a shoo-in for greatness, no matter how lonely and sad his wife is, or how much of a
player/swinger his youngest son is, or how confused and anti-business his oldest son is.
- Give a description of the family in the work you have read; who are the members; what are
their relationships with one another – use concepts learned from books to discuss relationships
(e.g., triangles; enmeshment; disengagement; cut-offs etc.) Do not simply summarize the plot –
focus on relationships and overarching themes. 4 pages
- Provide a genogram (as much as possible from the book you read). Use the proper genogram
symbols and format. Use GenoPro or Genogram Analytics – no hand drawn genograms. (See
attached for access)
- Describe the problem(s) the family or certain members are dealing with; describe the impact of
the family’s context on their problems (example: migration, minority status, gender, social class,
outside systems, etc.); include the solutions they have attempted. 3 pages
- Compare the family, briefly, to your own family, including similarities and differences. You can
select either your family-of-origin, or your current family. 3 pages
- Imagine you are the family therapist for this family. Discuss briefly the model or models of
family therapy you would choose for your work and why you selected these; design two
interventions that you would attempt with this family and explain why you chose these. Use
references from the books and articles used this semester, and others you want to include. 3
pages
- Provide APA format citations in the text and for the reference list. Make sure you proofread!!!
- Must reference the textbook throughout and discuss Genograms in relation to the play

Theories to guide in Nursing Practice
Watch Philadelphia or John Q (via streaming service) Identify three ethical principles evident in
the movie. Which ethical principle do you think should take priority and why?
Homeless Veterans and Addiction
Your Assignment is a PowerPoint presentation that summarizes your Population-Based Nursing
Care Plan Project. Include 7 – 15 Slides.
Must include:
Identification of a Population in Your Community
As a community of practice your task for this week is to collaborate with professionals across the
health care system and with your community of practice in the discussion in order to find a gap in
care or social determinant that often results in poor health care outcomes. You will begin to take
the lead in advocating for and collaborating with others to improve the health care outcomes for
populations at risk.
Epidemiology: Define Your Population and Selected Problem
This week, you will further refine your population and problem and compare your suspicions
about this problem to local, state, and national data on the topic. Your practicum project should
come into clear focus as you continue to analyze related health data, and you should consider
how you, as the nurse, might help them avoid the development of the problem in the first place
(primary prevention measures).
Population Cultural Considerations and Genetic Predispositions
This week, you will identify any genetic predisposition your chosen population has to a particular
disease and develop primary practice interventions that reflect the cultural considerations of the
population. Then, you will develop culturally appropriate, measurable interventions to help your
population members maintain an optimal state of health, avoiding the problem that you identified
them being at risk for developing.
Evidence-Based Practice and Evaluation of the Project Through Measureable Goals
Dr. Marcia Stanhope (2016) explained that evidence-based public health practice refers to those
decisions made by using the best available evidence, data and information systems, and
program frameworks; engaging community stakeholders in the decision-making process;
evaluating the results, and then disseminating that information to those who can use the
information.
