Human Trafficking (Case study)

In a 2- to 4-page paper, identify two opening exercises that you might recommend for a
group of adolescent girls who were victims of human trafficking.
Describe the exercises in detail so that another social worker would be able to implement
them.
Explain ways these exercises might be effective in creating a comfortable environment for
these teenage girls.
Support your rationale with the literature. For example, what does the literature say about
teenage girls who have been arrested for prostitution/human trafficking and who openly
discuss their experiences?
How do these exercises promote group cohesion and encourage these teens to talk
openly?
Group therapy is one of the most successful interventions for adolescents. This is
because of the nature of this stage of development and the need to belong to a group.
Hearing the stories of other teens and knowing that their experiences and feelings are
similar is very therapeutic. Another characteristic of the adolescent stage is a short
attention span, so the clinical social worker should tailor exercises that initiate and sustain
discussion for adolescents.
For this Assignment, watch the “Bradley” video.

Purchasing and Supply Management (Case studies)

Case 1: Wedlock Engineered Products (Chapter 10) The basic recommendation is obviously
what should Cynthia suggest to Robert regarding the supplier choice for the 3-inch tubes? In
the process of coming to this decision, consider several factors – how much weight should be
given to doing business with a previous supplier? Is $24,000 worth of savings large enough to
switch suppliers? If you switch, what happens to your relationship with the existing supplier?
Would you split the business between the two – if you do this, how do you think this pans out?
Lastly, evaluate if RFQ is the right approach for such a situation.
Case2:Carson Manor Case (Chapter 12)Basic question to analyze is which consultant would
you recommended for the Carson Manor Study and how should the choice be justified?
Address issues related to issues such as: Problems in assessing the needs of client
departments and in translating these needs into specifications (RFPs); Openness (flexibility)
versus precision in writing RFP’s for management consulting services; Prequalification versus
post qualification (or disqualification) of bidders; Expertise and results (effectiveness) versus
cost (efficiency) in selecting a management consultant.

Elements of a Contract (Case study)

Elements of a Contract
Therefore, a valid contract that is enforceable by courts has to contain the following certain elements (Stapleton and Williams, 2004):

  • Offer and acceptance
  • Written
  • Legality of purpose
  • Mental and/or legal capacity
  • Consideration

Suppose that the Fabulous Hotel hires you as head chef under a two-year employment contract. After two years, another hotel wants to hire you. However, in the original employment contract you signed with the Fabulous Hotel, the following paragraph appears:
“The below-signed agrees not to work as a chef for another hotel in the same metropolitan area for a period of two years after leaving our employ.”

  1. Describe and analyze the five elements of a contract that must exist for this agreement to be enforceable.
  2. Explain why this contract is governed by common law or the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
  3. Examine at least two circumstances in which this non-compete agreement would be unenforceable.

Submit a four- to five-page paper (not including title and reference pages).
Your paper must be formatted according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide and must cite at least four scholarly sources in addition to the textbook: Seaquist, G. (2012). Business law for managers San Diego, CA: Bridgepoint Education, Inc.
