A community assessment begins with a basic windshield survey where each community subsystem is explored. Health and social services are resources necessary to maintain and enhance the health and well-being of individuals and families.

Policy Memo Healthcare 

A policy memo is a document that provides analysis and recommendations regarding a particular situation or problem. On September 29, 2020, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched an initiative to measure health information technology (HIT) use among office-based physicians across the country.
The HHS’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) awarded a cooperative agreement to the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) to measure the use and potential burdens experienced by office-based physicians. The results of the effort will provide ONC with national-level data on how office-based physicians use health IT, including key measures on interoperability and burden.
Under the three-year cooperative agreement, the American Board of Family Medicine will: (1)Develop key measures related to health IT use and the interoperability of health information, (2)Collect data from a nationally representative sample of office-based physicians to support national level progress, and (3)Collaborate with ONC on the analysis and interpretation of the survey results.
However, the cooperative agreement awarded to ABFM does not significantly address the problem. Write a policy memo directed to HHS that proposes a major improvement to this policy that significantly address the problem, and improves the impact and results. Follow the example attached for structure and format. The paper must have the appropriate headings, sub-headings, etc. to include statement of the issue, policy implications, policy options, and policy recommendations. The Chicago author-date citation style must be used, NOT with endnotes citation.
