You should research your answer and cite at least one scholarly source every Question, and always use quality writing.

Q1. Watch this video (Drug use prevention – school programming and protective factors | NCLEX-RN | Khan Academy) from Khan Academy.
Analyze the effectiveness of drug prevention programs and describe what works, what doesn’t, and why. Reflect on your own experiences in school and share how you felt about the effectiveness of drug prevention programs in your community. If you did not participate in a drug prevention program at school, review a drug prevention program of your choice (NOPE, DARE, etc.) and assess its effectiveness based on the research.
Q2. Discuss the substance abuse prevention methods recommended by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) found at https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/prevention. Which do you think would be the most effective and why?

Evidence Base in Design

Evidence Base in Design

When politics and medical science intersect, there can be much debate. Sometimes anecdotes or hearsay are misused as evidence to support a particular point. Despite these and other challenges, however, evidence-based approaches are increasingly used to inform health policy decision-making regarding causes of disease, intervention strategies, and issues impacting society. One example is the introduction of childhood vaccinations and the use of evidence-based arguments surrounding their safety.

In this Discussion, you will identify a recently proposed health policy and share your analysis of the evidence in support of this policy.

To Prepare:

1). Review the Congress website provided in the Resources and identify one recent (within the past 5 years) proposed health policy.
2). Review the health policy you identified and reflect on the background and development of this health policy.

ASSIGNMENT

Post a description of the health policy you selected and a brief background for the problem or issue being addressed. Explain whether you believe there is an evidence base to support the proposed policy and explain why. Be specific and provide examples.

Use of Clinical Systems to Improve Outcomes and Efficiencies

Use of Clinical Systems to Improve Outcomes and Efficiencies

New technology—and the application of existing technology—only appears in healthcare settings after careful and significant research. The stakes are high, and new clinical systems need to offer evidence of positive impact on outcomes or efficiencies.

Nurse informaticists and healthcare leaders formulate clinical system strategies. As these strategies are often based on technology trends, informaticists and others have then benefited from consulting existing research to inform their thinking.

In this Assignment, you will review existing research focused on the application of clinical systems. After reviewing, you will summarize your findings.

To Prepare:

1). Review the Resources and reflect on the impact of clinical systems on outcomes and efficiencies within the context of nursing practice and healthcare delivery.
2). Conduct a search for recent (within the last 5 years) research focused on the application of clinical systems. The research should provide evidence to support the use of one type of clinical system to improve outcomes and/or efficiencies, such as “the use of personal health records or portals to support patients newly diagnosed with diabetes.”
3). Identify and select 4 peer-reviewed research articles from your research.

THE ASSIGNMENT: (4-5 pages)

In a 4- to 5-page paper, synthesize the peer-reviewed research you reviewed. Format your Assignment as an Annotated Bibliography. Be sure to address the following:

1). Identify the 4 peer-reviewed research articles you reviewed, citing each in APA format.
2). Summarize each study, explaining the improvement to outcomes, efficiencies, and lessons learned from the application of the clinical system each peer-reviewed article described. Be specific and provide examples.
3). In your conclusion, synthesize the findings from the 4 peer-reviewed research articles
