Drug pharmacology, name brand, generic, dosing, indications for use, side effects, contraindication pregnancy class.
You will also perform a cost analysis of the drug.
Provide a patient case study on a patient in which you would utilize your drug of choice and
information related to at least two evidenced-based studies related to the drug.

their roots in manufacturing, and it’s been shown repeatedly that they work as effectively in
health care as in any service industry. This week, you analyze process improvement models and

Below are the most common issues I have found in APA formatting in my classrooms. I hope
these help you in your journey!
Rearranging authors to be in alphabetical order Do not rearrange the authors of individual works
in alphabetical order. The authors for each book are in the order they intended when the piece
was published.
No citations, but references References and citations go hand in hand. You cannot have one
without another. If you put a reference at the end of your work, it would indicate none of the
writing was original and it was all taken from your source.
Direct quotations citations with no page numbers When directly quoting an author(s), make sure
you use page numbers in your citation. If page numbers are not available, you may use
paragraph numbers.
i.e.: “This is an example of a direct quote from Prof. Saucier” (Saucier, 2019, p.1).
Paraphrased citations with page numbers When paraphrasing (leaving only approximately three
words from the originally sourced materials), you do NOT need page numbers. Your citation should look like this: (Saucier, 2019).
Punctuation precedes the citation Your punctuation should follow the citation, not precede it.
WRONG:
Prof. Saucier mentioned this was an important aspect of APA formatting. (Saucier, 2019) I will

CORRECT:

Journal Citation Author’s Last Name, First Initial. (Year of publication- no month of day). Title of
the journal article: Notice each first letter is not capitalized. Journal Name, Volume number (issue
number), page numbers.
Example:
Saucier, T. (2017). Title of the journal: Here are my thoughts. Fake Journal, 3(2), 3-5.
The italicized 3 is the volume number. The parentheses 2 is the issue number, and 3-5 are the
page numbers.
Three or more authors When you have three or more authors, list the first author followed by the
phrase et al.
Example:
Teaching is very fun (Saucier et al., 2019).
