The purpose of this assignment is to broaden your understanding of the material presented in this course. You will select a topic of interest pertaining to HIV/AIDS from the material in this class. (i.e. HIV and nutrition, HIV and heart disease, HIV in other countries, HIV education, current trends in treatment) and submit a proposal for approval.

The Proposal: The purpose of the proposal is to give you some feedback on the initial idea / data source / etc. before you invest time writing an actual paper.

The 1 -2-page proposal shall describe the following:

  • the topic the issue
  • why it is important/interesting for you
  • why you selected this topic
  • what you hope you will find
