What is Pecha Kucha?
Pecha Kucha’s 20×20 presentation format shows your 20 chosen images, each for 20 seconds. In other words, you’ve got 400 seconds to tell your story, with visuals guiding the way. Pecha Kucha means “chit chat” in Japanese. This creative outlet began as nighttime get-togethers in Tokyo in 2003 by two renowned architects. Since then, three million people have attended Pecha Kucha events worldwide.

ASSIGNMENT:
You will need to create a Pecha Kucha PowerPoint slide show and upload it in the Discussion folder I created by Sunday, April 12th. Your job is to create a persuasive presentation demonstrating your opinion from the last Discussion Post. Just like your DP, you will argue and support your opinion on the saying, “The best things in life are free.”
Follow the same guidelines as the DP – no sources, just your life experience. This presentation is an extension of your DP.

Agree/PRO- Selena, Minju, Nicole, Max, Tammy, Yolanda, and Wayne
Disagree/CON- Judy, Howard, Andy, Ken, and Ink
You will present images which you narrate (record your voice/audio) while the images advance every 20 seconds. (**Information below in Tutorials on how to do this)
Only use one image/picture per slide and your voice. NO text on your slides.
No Animations or Video. The slides advance automatically after 20 seconds and you have a very short time to make your point. (**You will need to use Transitions to set up auto advance for your slides. Information below in Tutorials on how to do this)
Be sure to include one title slide with your name and the title of your presentation. This is the only slide with text. You may begin your audio with the title slide and introduce your purpose/main idea on the title slide.
You will have a total of 20 slides, including your title slide. The entire presentation will last exactly 400 seconds, or about 6 and a half minutes.
Like we have been working on in previous assignments, you want to use logic, reasoning, specific examples, and definitely the three appeals.
You want to think carefully about organization, order, timing, and flow.
The order of slides has to build and create one logical and clear argument.
Also, it takes time to plan out what you want to say in 20 second “chunks”.

You will also have to learn how to embed audio into your PowerPoint. You can find tutorials on this on Youtube, but I don’t think it’s necessary. I put a picture below of how to get started. Basically, in PPT, click “Slide Show”, then “Record Slide Show.” I recommend recording each slide individually, but it’s your choice.
**Do a test recording to make sure your volume is good and to make sure the recording quality is good too. Of course, use your headset/Air Pods, etc., if you have them. Otherwise, go to a quiet place while recording.
