You will explore the complex relationship between identity and culture through an in-depth analysis. AssignmentYour assignment is to write a 10-page essay (double-spaced and including references) that is tailored to a scholarly audience. Your essay should answer the following question and should be supported by evidence and support from at least ten scholarly sources (eight of which must be from the Winter Term course) as well as your experiences in Hawaii: How and why are so many Kanaka Maoli motivated to participate in sovereignty movements and/or in the movement to revitalize Native culture and language?
