Answer the following questions:

1. Have you ever worked in the restaurant/food service industry? How did the video and reading reflect your experiences, as a worker or as a customer? Had you considered these issues before this week?

2. With the following set of questions (2 a, b, and c), let’s connect the textbook reading with this video and article. I’m asking specifically about the section on democracy in Chapter 2 (pages 9-10), and anything from Chapter 12 on Rights in the Workplace.
3. Historically, how do the issues of race and gender connect/intersect with issues of work and employment?
4. Explain why low pay and poor working conditions would correlate with higher rates of sexual harassment.
5. What policy solutions might make working conditions better today for restaurant workers?
