Racial Discrimination In Prison Systems and Criminal Justice System

Racial Discrimination In Prison Systems and Criminal Justice System

I will be talking about the racial discrimination that is shown in prisons and the criminal justice
system. I will talk about the ladder of it and how racial discrimination is involved throughout the
whole way from being arrested by law enforcement to being incarcerated. It is proven that in
urban neighborhoods that there are more arrests which is where African Americans and
Hispanics mostly make up. Also the current make up of prisons are blacks where it is six times
as many whites and Hispanics where they are three times as many as whites. The articles I will
use show the statistics of it and also explain how there is systematic racism in the criminal justice system of America.
