Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) 
You are asked to create a 2 page written memo attempting to “sell” the concept of CPTED to a
small municipality. This area consists primarily of blue collar, elderly retirees who have
experienced a recent increase in break-ins and robberies. The municipality is located on the
outskirts of a small city and is well known for its sense of community.
