Write an engaging and effective introduction that is creative and NOT a summary of the texts in question
Present a strong counter argument
Refute the counter argument with at least three points that are not referenced anywhere else in the essay
Ensure all paragraphs must have a topic sentence with ample support
Use textual evidence to support the thesis effectively
Don’t “quote to quote;” cite only the most important information that supports your thesis clearly
Explain how the textual evidence supports the thesis
Write at least three sentences of analysis for each piece of evidence used
Cite only the number of quotations required (4); don’t over cite
Implement appropriate MLA citation of quotations with appropriate analysis to show how the quote supports the thesis
Provide a Works Cited listing the sources used must be provided
Develop a strong conclusion that goes beyond simply summarizing what’s been said in the body but answers the “So what?”
