Evidence-based Practice and Practice-based Evidence

. Students will select one of their cases and briefly present the client description and presenting
problem. They will then address the following questions:
1. What is the framework and theory for practice used in the case?
2. What is critical assessment information pertinent to the application of this framework that
points to needs, capacities and priorities for intervention in this case?
3. What is the intervention plan? Describe how it is based on evidence-based practice and
practice-based evidence.
4. What are the intervention process and skills essential for the implementation of the
intervention plan?
If the student does not, after consultation with the instructor, have a suitable case, a case
vignette will be provided for the student. This vignette can only be used if the student does not
have an appropriate case and is not to be used as an alternative assignment.
