Flight Operations, Compliance and Maintenance Considerations

Task
Imagine that you have been contracted by a company who wish to begin a new domestic airline in New Zealand. You have been asked to consult on flight operations, compliance and maintenance considerations. In your essay discuss some (at least 3) of the core considerations in these areas and describe what advice you would provide the company in terms of managing such considerations.
Instructions
The overall aim of this essay is to assess your understanding of the content in topics 7 – 9. Make sure that you:

1. Review compulsory study items in topics 7 – 9.
2. Search for further information within the literature using the resources of the library and/or academic search engines such as Google Scholar. Include relevant information in your essay.
3. Produce an 1800-word essay. This limit will be strictly observed (assignments more than 10% over the word limit will be penalised). Please note that this limit does not include references or appendices. While assignments below the word count will not be penalised, it is important that students have taken every opportunity to be awarded marks (i.e. don’t make the essay short at the expense of important discussion).
4. Demonstrate accurate use of American Psychological Association (APA) 6 format for citations and references. Please note that you must provide both in-text citations and a reference list.
5. Submit the assignment in either .doc, .docx or .pdf format. Other formats will not be accepted and students will be asked to resubmit their essays in the correct format.
6. While you may choose any considerations to discuss, you should ensure that you have at least one in each of the following topic areas: (1) airline flight operations, (2) legal considerations, and (3) aircraft maintenance management.
