SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

An essay of no more than 2000, following (a) the conventions of academic writing style; and (b) the basic essay structure described on OWLL.
You may use headings/subheadings; however, they are not required.
Essay questions are open to interpretation, allowing you to pursue different directions and personal interests when writing your response.
All essays must cite a minimum of five relevant academic sources (see OWLL, Massey Library, and guides on Stream for more on identifying and finding appropriate academic sources). Wikipedia and other non-refereed websites (e.g., news sites or organisational websites) may be used but do not count as academic sources.
Your essay must have a cover page (use the template on Stream), which includes your name, ID number, course number and title, essay title, and date of submission.
Use a clear 12-point font, 1.5 or double-spaced, with a standard 2.54cm margin (left, right, top, bottom).
All pages should be numbered.
Your in-text citations and reference list should follow the conventions of APA Style (i.e., 7th edition of the APA Publication Manual).
Your reference list should begin on a separate page (headed simply “References”), with sources listed alphabetically and using a hanging indent.
