Then, in your own words, briefly and concisely summarize the theoretical basis of the research, the methods used, and the major findings. Explain the variables on which the article focused, what the author(s) expected to find and the explanation of why that effect would occur [theoretical basis], how the effect was examined [methods], and the results of that examination [findings]. -Section#2-Center the heading “Applications” at the top of the page.

Then, in your own words, propose some possible developmental applications of the research. Do not just restate the information presented in the summary. Make sure that your applications deal specifically with the use of the results of the research (eg. provide a couple of concrete plans for using the results to impact people’s lives), not just the importance of the research area.
