Safety First in Sport Facilities

Sports venues are large, complex buildings that host thousands of fans and staff during events.
In an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, venues develop guest
policies and security procedures. Often, guests, staff, or performers find those policies at odds
with their particular situation and wish to have the venue waive one or more rules. In most
situations, the operations staff will have to say no. Learning to do that in a way that provides
good customer service is a valuable skill.
For this assignment, you will draft a written (200 words) response to the performer who wished to
park his vehicles inside of a secure zone as described by Bill Squires in the video.
To complete this assignment: Research a website that provides coaching on how to provide good
customer service while saying “no.” Use the techniques described to write a thoughtful reply to
the request.
