Luddism was a movement against the machine, against labor-saving devices that reduce the
need for human labor in the affected occupations. With the protests against Uber today, we see
that this tendency toward Luddism continues. In fact, this tendency frequently appears in pop
culture (see the film Avatar). Discuss this anti-technology ethos in pop culture, giving examples
as you recognize them.
