Wrench Torque On A Bolted Connection In A Double Cantilever Beam

Wrench Torque On A Bolted Connection In A Double Cantilever Beam

I want to know how to calculate torque to get clamping force.

This is the formula for clamping force

Where:

 Clamping Force (N, lb)

Wrench Torque (Nm, in-lb)

Friction Coefficient, depend on bolt size and material

 Bolt Diameter (m, in)

Now I am trying to have different torques to get different clamping forces, I want you to explain how to find torque using a wrench and how I can get different torques if I apply different forces on the wrench, because the tightness of the bolt will produce different torques, the bolt size is 1/8 inch, I believe there is a table for torque vs bolt size that you can include in the paper.

I want you to include

Fastening theory and (Torque vs Strain) figure.

This video can be a good reference and could help you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTwpA2yJ81o

Please include equations breakdown and definitions

So the purpose of this is how to find torque in a bolted joint using a wrench.
