  4. Why is the welfare of children crucial to the survival of the black community? Explain your answer. (2 pts.)
  5. Present an argument that rejects the view that the African American family is “sick” and in danger of extinction and supports the view that it is alive and will continue to survive and thrive as it adapts itself to new circumstances? (8 pts.)
