• Define contemporary management and leadership. Discuss the current roles and responsibilities of managers vs. those of
leaders, in organizations. 40% of total MT grade
• Choose a 20/21st. century leader and research his/her profile, focusing on the skills and traits (at least 2 of each), which make
them an effective leader. Justify your choice and support your analysis with specific examples. 60% of total MT grade
Expected table of contents:
– Introduction
– What is management?
– What is leadership?
– Key similarities and differences between the two concepts.
– Current roles and responsibilities of managers and leaders.
– Chosen leader’s profile introduction and background information.
– Discussion of key skills and traits that make them an effective leader (including examples and justification)

– The assignment should be written in the form of an essay and submitted via turnitin.
