The final project is meant for you to propose a hypothetical study. You are not and should not be conducting human subjects research for this project. It is not necessary for the purposes of this assignment. Overview: For Milestone One, you will submit the topic for your final project and a short introduction. Submit the Milestone One Worksheet. You should build on the ideas from the Module One discussion to select your final topic. Remember to select an area of psychology that you wish to research. For example, you might look at cognitive psychology or developmental psychology. Then, within this field, you will pick a particular area that is of interest to you. For example, within the field of cognitive psychology, you might examine memory in emotional situations. Or, within developmental psychology, you might examine the development of executive functions in kindergartners. Your final topic submission should discuss the area of psychology that you wish to research and provide a discussion of at least two articles that you might use in the literature review section of the introduction. You may use the article that you found to support your topic in the Module One discussion as one of your two articles, or choose two new articles. The articles should be used to support your topic choice and help you explain the different concepts that you will explore in your research. For example, if you are interested in looking at executive functions in kindergartners, you might find two articles that describe prior research on this topic and discuss how the articles are relevant to your topic. Instructional models apply learning theories to the selection of instructional strategies in a manner that will improve planning and differentiation to aid in student success. Understanding how various teaching models and strategies were designed to better reach students allows teachers to adjust their teaching styles to adapt their classrooms.

Read the uploaded Reading and the texts below, then write an essay:

In Europe, a woman was near death from a special kind of cancer. There was one drug that doctors thought might save her. It was a form of radium that a druggist in the same town had recently discovered. The drug was expensive to make, but the druggist was charging $20,000, 10 times the cost of the drug, for a small (possibly life saving) dose. Heinz, the sick woman’s husband, borrowed all the money he could, about $10,000, or half of what he needed. He told the druggist that his wife was dying and asked him to sell the drug cheaper or to let him pay later. The druggist replied, “No, I discovered the drug and I’m going to make money from it.”  Heinz then became desperate and broke into the store to steal the drug for his wife.  Should Heinz have done that?

This is Kohlberg’s most famous moral dilemma. Choose an answer, yes or no, and then try to develop a pre-conventional, a conventional, and a post-conventional argument for that answer. Make each of the three arguments convey the heart of that level of moral reasoning.
